The Story of Hit The Marc Cookies
If you had told me a few years ago that I would be starting a cookie business, I probably would have laughed.
But here we are. Welcome to Hit The Marc Cookies, my rolling labor of love, sugar, butter, and sprinkled with a few baking fails along the way.
Where It All Began: The Dough Awakens
Hit The Marc Cookies wasn’t born in a fancy test kitchen or from a viral TikTok. It started in my kitchen, with me muttering, “How hard can it be to bake cookies?”. I started baking cookies as Christmas gifts for family and friends. What started as 60 cookies one year ago evolved into 881 cookies one Christmas season.
Spoiler: harder than expected. My first batch looked like hockey pucks and tasted like burnt hopes and dreams. But after many Pinterest fails to qualify as a baking bootcamp, I cracked the code—and suddenly, friends were saying things like, “You should sell these!” and “Did you really bake these yourself?”
Thus, Hit The Marc Cookies was born—part dessert, part hustle, part therapy.
What’s with the Name?
You might be wondering: “Who’s Scooter?” Well, Scooter is me. Kind of. It’s a childhood nickname that stuck. Plus, “Hit The Marc Cookies” just has a ring to it. Admit it. You’d stop at that cart.
Our Vibe: Cookies with Character
I don’t want to just sell cookies. I want to sell joy disguised as baked goods. Each cookie has a personality: bold, buttery, and just a little extra, from classic chocolate chip and snickerdoodles to my unique “Butterbeer-Inspired” and key lime ricotta. I like to try new flavors and be different.
I’ve learned that small batches can lead to big dreams. And that nothing beats seeing someone take a bite of something you made and immediately go, “Oh wow!”
Thanks for reading the origin story of Hit The Marc Cookies. If you haven’t tried our cookies yet, consider this your official invitation. If you have tried them—well, then you already know.
Follow the crumbs. I’ll be here, baking up something sweet (and maybe slightly ridiculous).
